Our initial ambition was clear: to establish the most effective Executive Search and Recruitment business in the country. Despite the backdrop of the 2008 global financial crisis, we forged ahead with the creation of Who Group. In the face of economic challenges of the time, our commitment proved to be the catalyst for success. As organizations rebuilt in the post-GFC world, our dedication to offering the best advice and securing premier talent became paramount. Our executive placements flourished alongside our clients, leading us to establish our office in Southbank, where David Mahony and Gill Billings, with over 25 years of experience each, continue to lead as active directors and recruitment partners to a broad range of industry sector clients.
Fast forward to 2014, a new challenge beckoned – Industrial Labor Hire. Overnight, a distinct business emerged, focusing on Construction, Civil, and Events recruitment. Could it seamlessly coexist with our executive placement business? A decade later, the resounding answer is yes. Despite the differences between C-suite appointments and Labour Hire, they harmoniously thrive, leveraging our payroll and back-office functions. Welcoming Ciaran Kehoe and Niamh Simms in 2018 to lead Who Group Labour Hire business, their collective leadership has not only steered the Labour division but has also fostered a culture that resonates positively across our entire organization. That in essence is ‘Our Story’.
